MeigaHub vs OpenClaw
Which one do you actually need?

OpenClaw is a great project. But it needs your computer on 24/7, it relies on paid APIs and it is built for a single user. MeigaHub solves exactly those problems.

OpenClaw is for you if…

  • Your computer is always on
  • You enjoy hacking on and extending your tools
  • You want open source and a large community
  • You use Claude Max or pay per token
MeigaHub

MeigaHub is for you if…

  • The agent must work even with the PC switched off
  • You want free local LLMs with no cost per token
  • You need to manage several users or a team
  • You want built-in social media automation

The real OpenClaw problem nobody mentions

OpenClaw is brilliant while your machine is on. The problem is the "while".

The power goes out. The agent dies.

A reminder due at 9am never arrives because the PC was on standby. Your social pipeline stops. Scheduled tasks are lost.

Constant power draw

Keeping a Mac Studio or desktop PC on 24/7 just for the agent can cost €15-60 a month in electricity. A €10 VPS covers the same job.

It does not scale to teams

OpenClaw is a personal assistant by design. To give your team access, each person needs their own install. There is no central management.

MeigaHub solves it with Docker

MeigaHub runs in a Docker container on any server or VPS. Your agent is available around the clock even when your computer is off, travelling or in the middle of a Windows update. One deployment gives your whole team access.

What only MeigaHub has

Features that neither OpenClaw nor any other personal agent offers natively.

Social media autopilot

Posts to X, LinkedIn and Instagram on its own. It spots trending topics, writes contextual content, deduplicates and adapts length per platform. Nothing like it in OpenClaw or its plugins.

Built-in Job Hunter

Upload your CV, the agent reads it, finds matching openings, scores each one, produces a tailored CV per role and writes the cover letter. All from the dashboard, with no custom skill.

Local LLMs with no cost per token

Connect your own MeigaHub-server machines (llama.cpp) over Tailscale. The model reasons on your hardware, the data never leaves and you pay nothing per message. Ideal if you make thousands of calls a day.

Multi-user with a management dashboard

Create users, assign roles (admin/standard), and manage their servers and channels from one central dashboard. 2FA is mandatory for non-admin users. Built for agencies, teams and families.

An honest conclusion

Both tools are good. The choice depends on your situation.

Choose OpenClaw if…

  • You have a dedicated machine (Mac Mini, NUC) you can leave on
  • You need full access to the file system and the local browser
  • You want a large community and a ready-made ecosystem of skills
  • You have a Claude Max subscription and want to get your money's worth

MH Choose MeigaHub if…

  • You need 24/7 availability without keeping a PC on
  • You want free local LLMs (Qwen, Llama) with no per-token bill
  • You run a team or want to give other people access
  • You need social media automation or Job Hunter

Try MeigaHub with your own server

Connect your local LLM servers or cloud APIs. No computer left on. With a web dashboard. Available 24/7 from any device.

Start on the Free plan and scale only when you really need to.
