Open WebUI is the best frontend for Ollama. But it's just that: a frontend. No Telegram, no external tools, no reminders. MeigaHub covers everything else.

Open WebUI does one thing very well: showing a nice chat on top of Ollama. But when your use case goes beyond a browser conversation, you hit walls.
The agent in Open WebUI can answer questions, but can't search the web, fetch a URL, call an external API. All knowledge comes from the model, not the real world.
Open WebUI has no scheduler. If you ask it to remind you of something, it "remembers" within the conversation, but nobody notifies you at 9am. No notification channel, no scheduled tasks.
Open WebUI lives in the browser. If you're away from home, in a meeting, or on your phone, you can't talk to your assistant. MeigaHub lives in Telegram: a message from your phone is enough.
MeigaHub uses the same local models as Open WebUI (Ollama, llama.cpp, LM Studio via MeigaHub-server) but adds the tools, communication channels and automation layer that turns a chat into a real agent.
Set up Telegram or WhatsApp once and talk to your assistant from anywhere. Send voice messages, photos, PDFs. The assistant responds in seconds.
The agent searches the internet (SearXNG, Brave, Google CSE), reads web pages and gives you up-to-date answers — not just what the model knows.
Schedule a task ("remind me Wednesday to renew the domain") and you'll get the reminder via Telegram at the exact time.
Publish on X, LinkedIn and Instagram autonomously, with anti-duplicate control and tone adaptation per platform.
Both tools have their place. The choice depends on your use case.
